2026-02-01_G Roggero on measure
“Therefore, imposing its own measure is a question of life or death for capital. And as long as there isn’t a force able to threaten capital with death, it will continue to live by imposing measure. When today people make appeals to the conscience of so-called civil society against the immorality of unpaid labor, arguing that work should always be paid, they are wrong. If the bosses have enough control over the relations of force to make the proletariat work without paying them, then they will do so without hesitation. In the same way, redistribution doesn’t depend on any logical necessity within capital. The only logic is political: the class war, whether real or potential.”
